Gerald Duggan was born June 7 1928 in South Bend, Indiana. He enlisted in the Army after he turned 18 in 1946. He was a private, stationed in Miami, Florida. After his Honorable discharge, he pursued his love of cars. He worked as an auto mechanic and was part of the racing circuit. Gerald married Gloria Kelly in 1955. They resided in Florida for their entire life. He ran his own business of working outboard motors, he also retired from Grumman as a tool and die maker. He built a 1967 midget show car. He was diagnosed with cancer in late 1991 and passed away April 17 1992. His wife passed away in 1998. He left behind two daughters, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
