In memory of my father, GYSGT Robert R. Forcum, USMC, Retired (1931-2016). Served in the Marine Corps from 1947-1968. Served in Korea as well as two tours in Vietnam. Retired in 1968. The Marine Corps was the essence of his life, he loved the Corps and it shaped him to be the man, husband and father that he was. Served in the First Marine Division of the Corps. Spent most of his service repairing fighter aircraft and teaching the young recruits how to tear apart and put back together those jets. After 1968, he continued to be associated with the Marine Corps and attended Reunion events around the Country. He continued working with the fighter jets as a Federal Civil Service Quality Assurance Inspector at NAS North Island, San Diego, CA during the 1980 's and 1990's. Retired to the Bullhead City/North Las Vegas area during his last years. He was buried with military honors at the National Veterans Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona.
Semper Fi, you are missed.
Your daughter forever, Susan
