Edward Oliver Willis
Entered the United States Air Force in 1966 and was honorably discharged in September, 1970. He was assigned to the 552nd Airborne Early Warning & Control Wing. Flying on the EC-121, he served as an Airborne Radar Operator and Intercept Control Technician. During his service, he flew 120 combat missions in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War, logging more than 1.100 combat flight hours. He was awarded Four Air Medals over an 18 month period. He also was awarded the Armed Forces Expedition Medal in combat support for the USS Pueblo Incident in 1968 (Japan Sea). His total flying hours exceeded 1,900 during his military service.
